The mighty Yangtze is the longest river in China and the third longest in the world . The most impressive section of the river is the three Yangtze River gorges: the Qutang Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge, collectively known as the Sanxia with total 193 KM length.

Centered at Dafowan (Grand Buddha Bay), nearly 10,000 Buddha statues are displayed along a 400 long U shape hill ridge.
Fengdu Ghost City Town of Fengdu, said to be the abode of devils, is one of the first stops on your Yangtze River cruise. Here the famous 'ghost City' is deserved to visit.
Shibao (Treasured Stone) Stockade The whole building, composed of a gate, gate tower, and an ancient Buddhist temple on the top, guards the only path up the mountain. The cultural relics and calligraphy and paintings by famous persons unearthed in Zhongxian County since the New Stone Age are displayed in the hall. It is called one of the "world's eight great majestic buildings."
Zhang Fei Temple Opposite to the Yunyang town, the magnificent Zhang Fei Temple with glazed tile and red walls perches on the Flying Phoenix Hill on the southern bank of the river. The Temple was built to commemorate General Zhang Fei - one of the three sworn blood brothers of the state of Shu during the Three Kingdoms Period, (the other two were Liu Bei and Guan Yu). The Temple is a famous historical site along the Yangtze River.
Baidi City Baidi City or White Emperor City is not a real city, but a mini city with some temples and gates on top of Baidi Hill in Fengjie County, located at the entrance of the Qutang Gorge and 8 km from Fengjie County seat. Climbing over 500 steps, you can reach the top. It is the starting point of Three Gorges and the reason the place is most famous for. Li Po, a great poet in Tang Dynasty had a very famous poem about the city.
Little Three Gorges Little Three Gorges, lying on Madu River, one of Daning River's branches and converging with it in Dicui Gorge, is the combined name of Changtan Gorge, Qinwang Gorge and Sancheng Gorge.

Yichang Situated at the eastern mouth of the Xiling Gorge, Yichang is the economic and cultural center of the western Hubei Province. Its history can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms Period, as early as 278 B.C. and it was once a key strategic place scrabbled in battles between the Shu and the Wu kingdoms
Three Gorges Dam The project includes a system of locks, the largest ever built, intended to bring ocean-going ships 1,500 miles inland to Chongqing, the capital of the municipality created from Sichuan Province in 1997 to encompass the project. The municipality, with more than 30 million people, is under the direct control of the central government in Beijing.
